The mechanical properties of refractories refers to the strength, elasticity and plastic properties of the material at different temperatures. This indicator characterizes the ability of the material to resist various stress deformations due to external forces without being destroyed. The mechanical properties of refractory materials include compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength, wear resistance and high temperature creep rate. But usually test the material under different temperature conditions, the compressive strength, flexural strength and high temperature creep and other indicators.
     (A) room temperature compressive strength
Normal temperature compressive strength is the maximum pressure per unit area at room temperature. Often, the refractory material is rarely damaged due to static load at room temperature during use. But the room temperature compressive strength is mainly that the material sintering situation, as well as its organizational structure related to the nature of the measurement method is simple, it is to determine the quality of materials commonly used test items. On the other hand through the normal temperature compressive strength can be indirectly assessed other indicators, such as the material wear resistance, impact resistance and so on.
