Silica brick ingredients and applications
Silica brick mainly by tridymite, cristobalite and quartz and a small amount of residual glass phase consisting of acidic refractories.
Silica brick refractories are acidic, with good acid resistance capacity slag erosion, load softening temperature up to 1640 ~ 1670 ℃, long-term use at high volume relatively stable. The mineralogical composition of silica brick mainly tridymite and cristobalite, as well as a small amount of quartz and vitreous. Tridymite, cristobalite and quartz at low temperatures due to the residual crystalline changes, volume changes greatly, and therefore the thermal stability of silica brick poorly at low temperature. During use, at 800 ℃ the following heating and cooling slowly to avoid cracking. So there should not be below 800 ℃ temperature using a blast furnace. The nature and process of silica brick with SiO2 crystal transformation closely, therefore, true specific gravity is an important quality indicator silica brick. 2.38 The following general requirements, quality silica brick should be 2.35 or less. True proportion of small, multi-reflecting tiles tridymite and cristobalite number of small amount of residual quartz, thus the residual linear expansion is small, use less strength decreases.
Application:
Carbonization chamber is mainly used for coke ovens and combustion chamber walls, open hearth steelmaking regenerator and sediment room, soaking furnace, glass furnace, refractory materials and ceramic silica brick kiln firing kiln vault and other load-bearing parts. Also used in high-temperature load-bearing parts of the stove and acid open-hearth furnace top.
